Jania Mania Race for Veterans Charities will be held July 15th at Central Park of Morris County

PARSIPPANY, NJ – June 28, 2023 – The inaugural Jania Mania Race for Veteran Charities will be held July 15th at Central Park of Morris County. The event will raise funds for the Proffitt Brothers Foundation®, directly supporting four veteran-focused charities, each making a unique impact on the lives of our nation’s heroes. 100% of the proceeds from this event will provide comprehensive support for everything from suicide prevention to trauma recovery, and even adaptive sports programs.

The fundraiser promises to be a community-centered, family-friendly event. From serious runners, those who want to set a new personal record, to the beginner, this race has something for everyone. There will be three options for racing: two 5k races will take place, one virtual and one in person, as well as a 3k family fun run/walk.

Registration for the 5k is just $30 and includes an event t-shirt and wrist band. The 3k has a registration fee of $20 for participants over the age of 18, and $15 for youth from ages 5 to 17, with wrist bands included for all ages. Registration is now available online or in-person on July 15th beginning at 9am at the Central Park of Morris County (91 Central Avenue, Parsippany, New Jersey). Participants who register for the virtual 5k have until July 15th at 12 pm EST to log their miles and minutes online. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.

Jania Mania is being organized by Everett Jania, a high school student at Delbarton. Understanding the importance of service and leadership, while being an avid runner, a charity race was the fitting way to bring people together to raise funds for our nation’s heroes. “The Jania Mania Race for Veteran Charities is the culmination of my passion for running and my desire to give back to the community,” said Everett.

Jania Mania is presented by the Proffitt Brothers Foundation® (PBF), a nonprofit that provides financial and organizational support to nonprofits across the country that are making a front-line positive impact on their communities, but need resources to achieve their mission. Everett recently began an internship with the Proffitt Brothers Foundation®.

“It’s inspirational that a high school student is organizing this fundraiser,” said Vince Proffitt, Chairman of The Proffitt Brothers Foundation®. “I hope more young people follow in Everett’s footsteps and take an interest in charitable causes, because they are our future leaders. PBF will always be ready to ‘get them in the fight’ and teach them the organizational complexities of changing lives for the better, with an incalculable snowball effect. It becomes a contagious lifelong passion once you learn what it really takes to turn hope into help, and ideals into reality.  The example Everett has set with his leadership has inspired me personally and professionally. We can all do more, do better, and spend more time to make what should matter, matter.”

The Proffitt Brothers Foundation® welcomes all people to participate in this event, whether as a runner, sponsor, or volunteer. The event promises to be a great opportunity to support and give back to our veterans while bringing people together to enjoy a fun-filled day of activity and community bonding. Come out and join us on July 15th at Central Park of Morris County for the Jania Mania Race for Veterans Charities, and let us work together to make a significant difference in the lives of those who have served our country!
